It's also maybe worth pointing out that, apart from the Lodge in Avebury High Street, the New Inn at Winterbourne Bassett and the Red Lion, there are also two or three other B&Bs in or close to Avebury. The staff at the Lion are quite helpful in providing contact numbers; so too is the little information centre in the Methodist Chapel in Green Street (just up the road form the Lion).
