| There are a number of ideas regarding the gender of stones. The tall thin ones are the blokes etc... Who knows? Whatcha think?do the stones have local names, could be a clue.. scooby. The devils arrows were supposed to have originated from old nick lobbing a few rocks at some local christian gadgees who were pissing him off. He might have the best tunes but he's a crap shot! A lot of my local archiology is prefixed by the name Wade, the local giant. The Hobs get name-checked on a lot of stuff too. Wade's stone, Wade's causeway, Hob hole, Hob Hill. Love it !
