We are not "the only ones to find this out". It is now generally accepted that the Celtic invasion - peaceful or otherwise - never happened. You will have to come to your own conclusions, but I challenge you to find archaeolgical evidence of a migration of Iron Age Europeans into Ireland.
Indeed, almost the opposite is true after the Roman occupation, when large numbers of Scots invaded western Scotland and destroyed the Pictish nation. Also, very many Irish people moved into Wales, western Britain and Cornwall.
