Eyup!

Next time any of you are up around Grassington way, have a shufty at these :-

Grassington 'C':-

This was dubious, but a geologist friend that the chap who showed it to us reckoned the stones are deliberately placed upright. (Don't ask me, I'm not a geologist!). Could be down to the mining activities, but see what you think.
The cairn-like structure in the background is most likely to be the remains of a capped-off pit (lead mine).

There was some evidence of an enclosure wall adjacent to this site.

Again, it's a 'possible'. Most of the people are standing on a stone.
Also very close by was more definate traces of enclosure walling.

There's also a possible solstice alignment between a few of the sites here. When the chaps work out the details, I'll let you know.

Mossy Moor. I'd never heard of this site, until Rockrich posted it. It's not marked on the map, but looks very much like the remains of a cairn.

And between here and the Dumpit Hill circle are at least four more possible circles/cairns.

So, if anyone's off up there soon, check 'em out!
(Sorry I ain't got grid refs. It's all a bit vague without anyone there with a GPS!).

Cheers
Dave
