I couldn't find any trace of it on the 1850-something O.S. map. Is there an older one for that area?

<though I aint checked any out any extra literary records on the old stone. There's gotta be summat said of it somewhere in Leeds library>

I asked an old bloke who's written several local history booklets (can't recall his name atm) about it. He said there were some old gate posts and rubbing posts in the park. This stone doesn't look like a gate post. I don't remember seeing any trace of holes or hinges.
