it says that there has been a huge amount of archaeological activity in recent years - is that the case? - i understood the circle to remain fairly unexcavated.
i may be alone in this, but i find all this management stuff rather depressing - i mean it's probably necessary because of the increase in the number of visitors - but that in itself is probably a result of the world heritage status.....
i know, let's make places MORE difficult to visit.......
