Some pretty interesting pics and words for the cave on Pike O'Stickle. When first I looked at the pictures of the flakes inside the cave, I thought 'Wayhey! Evidence of axery!' But as is astutely pointed out in TE's fieldnotes, this could just be evidence of the working of the cave walls.

What are the chances that any of those flakes are axe related? I'm taking it as read that the cave itself must have some connection with axe production. It seems too coincidental.

Either way, Mistargh 'ternal, you're a brave fella for venturing into such a precipitous site.
