on excess baggage on radio four on saturday, they had a dude who was talking about possible prehistoric sites on st kilda. apparently Sir somebody or other dug up (got rid of) some 'fairy mounds' in the thirties.

anyone know any more?

st kilda really is 'out there' but as Lewis (and Callanish) are the nearest places and its been fairly untouched, you would expect something - although as the guy said - it's probably underneat the one settlement if it's there at all.
