Having just got back from a week in the lakes, I didn't spend enough time in the Ulverston area to do it justice - I only got to see the hollywood sites.

Druid's Circle is an obvious one, though it was ruined by some twat camping in the circle when I was there: see http://www.heritageaction.org/?page=theheritagejournal - there's alot of stuff up on Birkrigg Common around that way that I didn't investigate. Similarly, the Skelmore Heads area around Urswick has quite a bit showing on the map.

Slightly further afield is the Giant's Grave at Black Combe (it's in the book).

That should give you a day or so's hunting...
