It's also my private summer lunar observatory and just a pity I only learned the azimuths and moon-watching stuff fairly recently. The absolute proof of a lunar row is a good photograph of it happening - never mind Thom and Ruggles's statistics. The priests would use fear to cow the farmers and so extract more alms, which could explain some residual vibrations, but that wasn't all that was going on.
