It does have a large element of dogs-nadgerness about it :-) I discovered keyframes last night and finally got to play with the filters and effects properly. I also found the chroma-keying stuff! Woo-hoo!!!!!!

The main problem is it needs serious processor power. The built-in graphics card on my iMac doesn't cut it when capturing video directly into FCP, so I have to use the cheap-n-cheerful iMovie that Mac give away. Most odd, but once you know it's ok.
