I quite agree Fourwinds. I remember seeing programmes on tv about energy in the future - must have been about 30 years ago, round about the time Milton Keynes was built. One of the housing estates was used to build modern housing incorporating some of the new technology in energy efficiency available at the time. Since then there's been very little movement in the use of these methods except by a few enlightened people and some places abroad. I'm now living in a house that still has coal fires as it's main form of heating.
The only thing that seems to have taken off is double glazing but where are the heat exchangers to cut down consumption and recycle the heat we produce from just living
