Dear Littlestones,

The last line in my post is quite a common bit of 'jovial banter' that is often directed at people who seem afraid of something. You know. Someone is scared of cats, for instance, and folks say 'his mum was frigthened by a cat when she was carrying him.' That kinda thing.

Earthstepper seems to have a phobia not only for information signs, but for protecting things too. I know he appears to love nothing older than my granny's Anderson Shelter, but surely even he can see the sense in trying to prevent some unnecessary damage being caused.

He mentioned railings. Well, if the damage continues to happen then that might happen and I for one would be very sorry to see that be the case simply because other, nicer methods were not tried first.
