| There are several holed stones in the Knarsdale and Kirkhaugh parish. Five stones, six holes, there's bound to be others. The archao-explanation is 'drilled for gunpowder in the industrial age'. We can only afford gunpowder in Knarsdale now - for the first time ... There's a holed stone, or tolmen, near Rothbury, maybe, that is also without map reference that we should possibly locate.
