Purely by chance, having seen Biddy's Well HY4889502466 yesterday, I Hotmailed goffik before I ever saw this thread ! No known megalith period wells to report or I would have forumed it. Mind you, I have been wondering about wells dated to the Iron Age through being in brochs. What if with brownfield sites they preceded them at these spots, being the reason for continuity of structures on the spot rather than a result of them ?
