Waiting for paint to dry I checked Old Maps Uk. (Grid ref;367891.168887) Stones are marked in Mickle Mead. The field in which they are marked has R.Avon on one side, and the River Boyd joining it. It makes a "classical" site for a circle, a sort of triangulated shape, with water being important and... Kelston Round Hill (sacred Hill) somewhere behind it. Put that down to a tentative theory....
