Boarded the 7am ferry at Lewis, got off the ferry at Ullapool about tenish. . arrived in Scrabster about 2.30. I thought it would take longer. . ended up hanging 'round Thurso for a few hours (which is a bit of a dump). Ullapool in a nice place though.. stopped at the Ferryboat Inn, cheap and right by the ferry. Had a nice time in Ullapool.
Lewis is sparse mate. . there's NOTHING there once out of Stornoway. I found one shop in Calanais, it was open 10-2!!! just a converted garage. The woman said it's the only shop for miles!!

By the way, the trip cost me £300 in ferry fares alone!
