Where is it, if anywhere?

Hi

1st post for me:).

Years ago, when I lived in Swindon, I used to go Live Role Playing at a site off to the right of the Swindon Road on the way to Avebury.

First, after parking and kitting-up, we'd go and "play" in woods before coming out onto the top of a Hillfort that nestled into the crook of a deep horse-shoe valley with woodland on either "arm". The "action" would take us down a track on the otherside from our entrance onto the plain atop the fort, into the valley (where there were horses:)). Then back up the otherside of the valley completing a full circle.

I think the valley faced north-ish, towards Swindon.

What is this place? After moving away, andstaying away for a long time, I got back in touch with my friends from that time and they told me that it was called Bicknoll Hillfort (or something like that??).

But I can't find any reference to it!

Can anybody tell more about the place and it's history?

Cheers,
Andy
