| I've been looking at these pictures of the Orkney stone row. This http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/post/21800 stone, in a row, is described as the blocking stone. They are assumed to be connected with terminating the row in some way. The horizon, along this alignment, is interesting but I can't make out what's there.
