The cheapest I can find that Elgee book is 56 quid on the net, if you turn up a cheap copy in a second-hand bookshop in your neck of the woods give me a shout! Stanhope White’s “The North York Moors” is going for 6 quid – you reckon it’s worth picking up a copy then?
You’re right about the Bridestones area and there seems to be likely stones scattered all over the place, I’ll have to give the area another look soon. There’s a great ford at Grosmont as well ;-)
