It seemed to be a lot bigger than the birds I often see hovering by the sides of motorways.
The call was very distinctive and I would have thought that that alone would easily identify it.
I`ve been listening to whatever bird-calls I can find on the net and nothing seems to come close to it.
The call was long and descending "arooooooo", it was the only sound it made, both on its perch and in flight.
I came across the dismembered head of a large member of the crow family, by a few feathers, and wondered if the big bird had been responsible.
