| Christ I must've had more wine last night than I thought. What a bizarre message I left!! Apologies. I'll try again. It does depend a lot on how long you're there for, where you're going from, which route you're using and where you've been before. I went to Lewis recently from Leeds and broke the journey with a full day (and a couple of nights) around Loch Tay. There's loads to see that are fairly quick & easy to find. Books are a bit trickier without knowing more. I didn't look at guidebooks for Lewis itself. Is it just the stones you want one for? If so, do you have any already? And how much detail do you want?
