Quite the opposite. Sacredness is a religious idea. Without religion there would be no sacredness. Sacredness and religion are tied up with very strong rope.
My wonder at the marvels of the universe of which I am a part has nothing to do with sacredness at all, because sacredness only exists in the minds of others.
And I am not alone.
