The fause bard would have bases his work about known events. For the year 873-4 the Brut y Tywysogon has battles at Yngerydd in Anglesey and Banolon. As Mona is in Gwynedd that leaves Banolon for a battle in southern Wales. Now if only we knew where that was (no location on http://www.welshbattlefields.org.uk/cym/?page_id=9).
