unfortunately it isn't really near anything?
I think there are buses from wrexham to llandrillo (the nearest village), and you should be able to get a taxi from there - accomodation wise there is a caravan site over the road from it.
you can get trains to wrecsam from either manchester or liverpool.
While you are in snowdonia, try to get up on to penmaenmawr for the druids circle, and betws for capel garmon.
If you do end up in wrecsam, go to the museum to see the Mold Cape - absolutely fantastic.
