http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/post/33010 - this hill is pristine and undisturbed - guarded by a mythological creature (Northumbrian sheepfarmer) who knows it's his ancestors inside. You can see the berm on the righthand side. There's a right-of-way goes near what may have been the front.
There are a couple of undisturbed round cairns in Smithills.
