From the original book.........."Sarsen about 5ft 10ins by 4ft 6ins....on two sides the stone is broken off...what remains of the frame is about 4ft by 3 ft...the waved markings about 11/2 ins broad...Dr Williams Freeman calls attention to their resemblance to the undoubted sculptures on the upright of a dolmen near Carnac(!)"
