I just leave my answer machine on and if it's me mates they start swearing or saying stupid/insulting things, if it's parents or other groan ups they say "hello...are you there?" and if it's telemarketing they hang up instantly.

ps I just cut the rings down to 3 before the machine kicks in and it works for me.
