For me it's never been about that, for me it's been about steering the party back in the right direction. I think a party led by him stands a good chance.

What people seem to forget is that Labour lost two elections in 2010 and 2015 before Corbyn was leader! Labour weren't even electable then but at least now they've got a huge swelling of members and public support.

If he quits I can see a lot of members going

The Consituency Labour Parties, comprising of grass roots members among others, selected a swathe of Tory-lite non-socialists to stand for election. The members than elected a left-leaning democratic socialist to lead them. It is a bit of a fuck-up. If he wins the vote & stays, as is likely, there will be no effective opposition until the next election. Will the CLPs then deselect those New Labour types for Corbynites? Could get worse before it gets better. We'll see if Labour has the stomach to see it through.

I heard earlier that if he's elected there could well be a deselection process implemented.

Whatever the situation corbyn was under what will happen if he's gone is that there'll be no effective opposition to even stand! Members will leave, also along with them much of the trade union support who'd had enough beforehand

A great many of today's MPs were imposed on constituency parties during the days of Blair to cement his legacy....
