Totally agree with you Jim, and this mindset is exacerbated by the fact that Israel is surrounded by some states who would love to visit the same fate upon them again.
Israel cannot afford to lose one war - but where I think the best way to avoid that is to work for peace, the govt of Israel is taking a very different tack.
It's very sad for ALL concerned.
