Boris has won

Looking into the sub section on housing, there are a few pledges for 'affordable' housing, with only the ex-copper mentioning more social housing. He's probably talking bs anyway, but it's still interesting.
I think it's the way housing has went that has devastated this country more than anything.

All those reposessions in the 90s, people buying into a bloody false 'homeowners dream' (hey peeps, that's what Wimpy and Barrat were for!) only to have the banks rubbing their hands in glee handing out loans without even caring how they'd be paid back, they could always make even more money after you got tossed out in the streets anyway.

I read somewhere councils are having to rent homes from private landlords in order to house people, they've got so little homes left! WTF?

It's all resulted in outrageous prices for houses (oh no, wait, it's all about getting yourslef on the 'property ladder', right?) which to put it really simply I'm sure wouldn't be the case as estate agents would have to do more to entice you to buy their 'product' and persuade you away from your lovely council home in the first place.

The day someone has the gonads to rescind this travesty, I'm with them.

Anybody know what is the Budget that Boris (presumably) has to run London.

Any figures for the total receipts that the Rates and other revenue streams bring in?

I know its £90'000'000'000 for the NHS..or is it £180 Billion...
