I was listening to the radio last week. There was a guest on a press club show that I listened to for a spell, someone from the Bush administration. I soon figured out it was Karl Rove.

At one point, he is asked a question about US forces chasing Afghan militants over the border into Pakistan if the Pakistan army wouldn't deal with them.

Rove, without a hint of irony, says 'No, we wouldn't do that, because the United States honors the sovereign rights of foreign nations'

In the background, you can hear reporters breaking out into incredulous giggles, whereupon Rove quickly adds "... Unless that nation is Saddam's Iraq, of course"

Fucking ridiculous.
