Got to see Moon Duo on Friday night. Verdict. Incredible. They had a mesh cage which they played from within, whilst 3 projectors simultaneously projected graphics into, onto and through the cage/band. The most incredible melding of music and Visuals I think I've ever witnessed and worked fabulously. They played brilliantly as well. Great cover of Suicide's Jukebox Baby at the end. Here's a full performance from the current tour, though earlier in October i think, to give you the feel, though it doesn't quite do the visuals the full front of stage justice. Good sound though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goPcSExzTbI&t=4105s

Otherwise it's been (Surprisingly)...

Moon Duo - Circles
Moon Duo - Occult Architecture V1
Moon Duo - Stars Are The Light
Moon Duo - Shadow Of The Sun/ Live Ravenna 2CD

Vive La Void - S/T

I saw them at Liverpool on Wednesday. I first saw the cage thing at their Hulme, Manchester show a few months and back and yes, it a sight to behold. Incredible as you say.

What do you think of the VVV album? I didn't give it enough attention when I first got it but it really is very, very good. I picked up the Rose City Band album from the merchandise stall - apparently it's Ripley but not played it yet

From all the reports this latest Moon Duo tour has been amazing - wish I'd gone. Enjoying the latest album a lot - more than I expected to be honest.

He soz you missed em', was a fab night, well worth going to see. TBH, it was a last minute decision. Skiddle had a 2 tix fer £25 quid thing going on, which made me think that it was gonna be a poor turn out so thought I'd make the effort, but it was pretty full venue in the end.

Yeah, I really like 'Stars Are The Light'. First spin I was a bit hmmmmm?, but I left it on repeat and it soon got under my skin. TBH, most of the stuff Ripley is involved with I enjoy. He/the bands he play with are not really breaking any boundaries sonically, but sometimes you just want something that's well executed and ticks yer boxes. Moon Duo/ Wooden Shjips always put on a good show, and leave me with good vibes :)
