I've only played it once as I only bought it yesterday, but I do like 'Santana IV'. Aside from a few iffy lyrics and one rather ill-advised, belated attempt at house music, it's very much the updated return to the turn of the 70s Santanaband I hoped it would be, and features all of its aged protagonists in rude musical health, especially Greg Rolie. Loads of energy, and a refreshing change from the disjointed guest-by-number mismashes which Carlos has inflicted on the masses since the new millennium. Worth a punt, I'd say.
