Fair point, but sheer mass of logic and peaceful process with determined intent will always win, given the momentum it has to create by its very own intent. The Governing will do what ever is necessary to survive. They'll accommodate and if needs be mutate enough to save their power arse positions and sell every principle so long as they can self perpetuate - that way, if we get them by the bollocks, change lies. It's a natural process. Edit : I think, that not only considering revolutionary history in general, but also what is happening (and has happened) in our present time with the 'arab spring' movements, that to argue that non violent revolution is possible is er.. churlish. Same goes for defending yourself on a peaceful protest, just how many times can you be hit with a stick before you'll think about hitting back ?
