Hence my initial query - what's the must-see's, and what can safely be missed?

I'll be restricted in terms of time spent away from the car in any case - don't want to leave the missus alone for too long and impinge upon her goodwill!

So I'll only be visiting those near the road, that are considered unmissable by those in the know.

Now can I do it in a day? :-))
