Thanks for that - my folks have decided to take a hike up the moor tomoz, as they want to check the Twelve Apostles out before I do (these retired folk eh, while I'm stuck in the office, its just not fair :-( anyway, i'll pass these directions onto them and see if they have any joy - I'll let you know how they get on.

While you're up there, n' if you're still feeling sprightly, it's not far to the Grubstones. Take the small path through the heather that leads out of the western end of the circle (by the two thin stones) and walk striaght ahead for about a mile until you come to a rocky outcrop. You will see the gamekeeper's shed a few yards away. The Grubstones are about 10 yards down the little path into the heather.

Watch out for the gamekeeper if he's around on his quad-bike!!

The way back to the C+C is down around the res and follow the path past the Lanshaw Lass (fallen) boundary stone.
