Just been downta Lands End, and visited the Men-an-Tol, which as we all know has the same kinda healing properties.

You have to pass your kiddies through it NINE times (oh fuck, here we go again), or crawl around it nine times to work its magic.

At the Men-an-Tol, radiation in the hole is twice that of the environment. Which is Odd in the general sense, but apparently very common with holed stones.

And some mighty fine places you went to too !!

Great pictures on TMA, looks like you had fun & sun !! What more could you ask for?!

I always thought the Man-An-Tol was three times into the sun or some such things. Do you have to do kiddies 9 times because they're smaller?

I can truly believe that some stone structures and chrystalline formations could act as attractors and 'funnels' for magnetism and radiation, just like a lens or satellite dish even.

Anyone know of any SERIOUS studies on this side of things? You know, yet another scientific study explains an old wives tale kind of study, where everyone says "We could have told you that. We never knew why, but we knew it."

Oops...
Afraid I made my girlfriend go through it 9 time!!

Must have done some good..as she's now the wife.

Still waiting for the expected football team of kids though.

Call me the sceptic, but isn't the high radiation just due to the underlying granite bedrock, and the vast amounts of radon produced by it? After all, cornwall is one of a few regions in Britain with ultra high radon readings.
