20,000 years ago, the sea was 400 feet below it`s present level and Britain was joined to Europe until about 6,000BC.

"Course not! I forgot about that. Some have claimed that the Dogger bank was still a marsh in Saxon times. Though they may be wrong, the mesolithic coast must have been miles out. Good thinking. I wonder how difficult diving is? Under what category could you post the site here?
