Interesting news item, but site is not a first by any means. Plenty of underwater sites in Scilly and in the Essex estuaries. Not so early though.

To what are you refering, sir?

A few shore-edge mesolithic communities have been found already on this coast. Folk are now looking at the shoreline and land bridge that existed during the Mesolithic (most of which is under the oggin).

Far be it from me to question people with knowledge in this area, but isn't it possible that the tools and arrowheads (if that's all that has been found) were thrown/shot into the water?

I thought that the first reports were building a lot on a little - just a few flints. Now just take a look at the Daily Mirror. It seems that Atlantis has been found just off Geordieland! Spin or what? http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/allnews/content_objectid=13398054_method=full_siteid=50143_headline=-SCUBA-TEAM-FIND-UNDERWATER-CITY-name_page.html
