Bogg refers to it as the 'Druids Circle' and the only direction is south of the ancient settlement of grassington. It's a shame I can't show you to the image in the book but there you go. Maybe iif I get a scanner. It's probably Grassington A or B. The background landscape in Bogg's image looks similar to that seen in the photos on MA.

Anyone know anything about the Hunter's Stone? It's on the old road from Kettlewell to Leyburn, its in a field called Hunters Stone, which is next to a field called Great Hunter's Stone. The stone is about 1,5 metres high (see http://www.larkfall.co.uk/xetb-pics.htm). Before you reach it there's a cairn at the side of the road and a Brigantian dyke.

You could always have a mooch about on the old maps website http://www.old-maps.co.uk . they've got an 1850's map of the area - unfortunately I can't get the thing to scroll about on my machine.
