What a rush​…What a weekend lies ahead

I just bought the OS map that covers Dublin and hence my house. I haven't really bothered before, as OS maps that cover cities are usually quite boring. However, on looking at the map I see that there are over 25 tombs, standing stones and barrows within 6kms of my house in the northern foothills of the Wicklow Mountains ..... erm ....

What are the Irish OS maps like? Are they different from the English/Welsh/Scottish series?
This would be useful for me to know as I am hoping to get to Ireland later this year (Cork via the stone circles and up to Dingle Bay to see the lovely dolphin.)

I just scanned a chunk in and slapped it on my site ... 400k but it will give you some idea of what they're like.

I wouldn't say this is representitive of Ireland but it's certainly representitive of ares where sites exist. Tons of the buggers.
