Macroom was on our list of possibles. I take it we chose well then ;-)

Have a great weekend. No plans here (yet). Mikki's son is threatening to pay us a visit so he can have on eof her famed roast dinners, but other than that I'll be vegging I think...

Macroom seriously is the arse of the universe!

Considering it must get rather busy in the summer there's nowt there! The Victoria Hotel in the main square should have it's 2 stars made negative!

The only places to get food seemed to be a greasy cafe, a posh place and a chipper!

I don't know Leap and so I can't tell you what to expect. One thing for certain is that it can't be as bad as Macroom!

Carrigagula, Reenascreena and Kealkil (+many others) here I come!

Hi you did choose well, Leap is right on a spectacular and vast estuary - nice pubs, good music and very close to Drombeg etc. Dont forget to check out lesser know and wilder sites like the cirles at Ahakista and Dunbeacon - its worth buying the Guide to the Stone Circles in Cork and Kerry - (part of a series which includes shiela na gigs etc) which is very detailed and has a useful map. Freely availabe once you're over here. Enjoy - we do get some good weather here too! Love Flora
