In balance it does seem suspect.

I don't recall anybody saying that your clearly wrong

That is exactly what Mr T is doing! Saying this is unintentional and purely accidental. Curiously, in the 10 years since this was first spotted, he is the only person to have taken such a stance. The article on it was considered fit for publication by the Waterford Archaeological and Historical society, and they would not have done so had they had their doubts. I've been studying Coumaraglin for over 15 years, during which time Mike Power and I have discovered 4 other valid equinox and solstice alignments. When I start lecturing Mr T on rock art, he can start lecturing me on Coumaraglin. Believe me, on this occasion, he is way out of his depth.

If I need to emphasise the point, earlier today I told him quite clearly that the stone ceases to be visible 4 kms away. He then goes on to tell you that he does'nt know. I think that shows how much he values the opinion of others, and the attention he pays to what he is told. In most resects I value his opinion. He is clearly an educated and dedicated man. But taking a contrary stance just to prove he knows more than everyone is helpful to no one.
