Thanks for the comment RH. I thought about you on Saturday, on top of Garreg Las in the Brecon Beacons. Gladman has posted lots of pics of the cairns there, I'll add some once I catch up (about two weeks behind now). I think there's certainly food for thought on your website and I also think one "answer" won't apply to every upland site. It's good to visit with an open mind anyway.
