i grew up in Newbridge, just down the road from you. it's a small world. head over to the cathedral and round tower in Kildare town when you get a chance. not exactly megalithic or anything but well worth a look!

They are great alright, its a pity they are not open all year round. Although i guess u could show up for mass on a sunday morning to see the catheral. Plus the remains of the Bridget Fire Cult centre is in the yard of the catheral so that goes back to the 8th century and possibly a lot further than that.
