hi sam Iv'e not been for a couple of years but there was people camping there then too , only then they were kind of temporary, these riff raff look more permanent. Are they protesters (of gravel pits wasn't it) who don't want to go home?
Don't think they were permanent, as there were kids with them. The main group was up at the circle, but there were also some right down by the road. It made me embarrassed to be both a camper and a stone-nerd. I try to camp on small farm sites, and never leave anything behind, particularly on the rare occasions when we have camped wild, certainly would never consider lighting fires on bone-dry moorland. Sorry, must stop ranting.
