Forest of Bowland

eh?!

Bowland's a beautiful place... no stones admitedly (apart from the afore mentioned lumps of concrete at Bleasdale) but the place is definitely not drab. The view from the top of Bowland is stunning - the Lakeland fells, Morecambe bay and right down to North Wales.

I'd say the most drab thing about Bowland is some of the stuck up folk who live round there... ;-)

It looks on a map like the kinda place that should be dripping with pre-history. As much as because of the views Iron man mentions.
Perhaps pre-historic planning permission was difficult round there?
Perhaps any remains were swiped by bronze age Cumbrians?
Perhaps there's loads of stuff, but it's developed good camoflage and it knows people are looking for it?
Perhaps I should get a grip.

Mr Ironman,

I've just reread my comments.

Erm, appologies, tis not drab at all, indeed I have scrambled up Parlick, and stro, lled over Wolfe Fell many times. I must have just been in a rush to type summit.

GO TO BOWLAND ITS GREEEEAT!!!!
