I second elderford`s nomination of Mitchell`s Fold stone circle:

as you will probably be passing within a few miles of it on your way to/from Newtown.

The Hoarstones stone circle is just up the road from Mitchell`s Fold, too:

Fine pair Baza - coincidentally the village Kerry (near Newtown) has a fine pair too - barrows (see http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=7076) also the circle on nearby Kerry Hill (see http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=1008).
