Yup that is theeeee very stone ! I have sat me bum on it many times while chilling in theee sun.
Wish I knew what the history is of it?
I have heard a tale about some victorian twat who blew them up cus they were pagan and I do believe there is a picture in the vaults of our library of some victorian chap sat on a stone with a circle of markers where stones once stood. I have also heard that there was possibly three circles in redland park before it was a park . But how much truth there is in all of this I dunno?

Those Victorians, huh? One thing that amazes me is how so many of these sites remain at all. Puritan Victorians, greedy farmers, unscrupulous builders, berserk invaders... not a coincidence that the best preserved sites are those way, way off the beaten track.

Perhaps we'll meet one day in the park and share a joke. I cycle past it every day (I'm the one wearing the cans and listening to the Can). I've heard the stone is gurt massive.
